This renewed push for improved LGBTQI+ representation in NSW comes on the heels of the recent formation of the ground-breaking Faith Affairs Council.

The Faith Affairs Council, created this month, assumes a direct advisory role to the NSW government, addressing faith-related matters, programs, and policies, featuring representatives from diverse religious faiths.

Equality Australia's Legal Director, Ghassan Kassisieh, is now urging NSW Premier Chris Minns to make good on his commitment to establish a dedicated council for LGBTQI+ concerns.

Mr. Kassisieh has pointed out that nearly every other state and territory in Australia already possesses a mechanism for facilitating government engagement with LGBTQI+ communities.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all groups, whether they are people of faith, LGBTQI+ individuals, or those who fall into both categories, have a platform to voice their concerns and experiences to the government.

According to Mr. Kassisieh, the state could achieve more favourable outcomes by providing the LGBTQI+ community with direct input into the policies that impact their lives.

"We eagerly await the NSW government's fulfillment of its commitment and the development of a comprehensive strategy encompassing service delivery in all governmental sectors, including healthcare, education, housing, and justice, to address the needs and enhance the quality of life for LGBTQI+ individuals," he asserted.

If the government agree to this than this will be the beginning of the end for society.
Then they will start pushing their agenda on schools, community and even law. Imagine getting sued or charged a criminal offence for hate crime because you questioned a parent chemically castrating their child.
