An Arson investigation is currently undergoing, after a fire occurred at a fruit shop establishment situated in Hadfield during the early morning hours.

The local emergency services received a call to attend to the premises located on West Road shortly after 5 am. The business, which was unoccupied at the time, suffered notable and extensive structural damage as a result of the fire outbreak. Miraculously, no physical injuries were reported in relation to the incident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that this "suspicious" fire originated within a vehicle before subsequently spreading to the shop. A spokesperson from Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) indicated that the car had been deliberately reversed into the fruit shop before igniting from an LPG canister.

The nature of the fire has raised suspicions, prompting an ongoing and active investigation. Law enforcement officials posit that this incident was likely a targeted event, potentially connected to a series of prior arson attacks on tobacco shops dating back to March of the current year. Turf wars, and gang related violence have increased over the years with authorities attempting to manage the situation. Do you think the authorities are managing these situations well, or are they biting off more they can chew?
